The aim of this book is to clarify the detailed and obscure area of the law dealing with issues related to road traffic offences, and is aimed at practitioners as well as the police, Crown Prosecution staff and court staff. The text looks first at the endorsement of driving licences, following this up with an examination of penalty points and the liability to disqualification to which such points may lead, with a detailed study of disqualification. The second half of the book is more specialized and looks at the licensing system itself, and asks questions about the sentencing of motorists and the nature of the North report.
